Dr. Lucas is an Advisory Board Member at Primegrid Renewable Energy, Incorporated. Most recently, he served as Corporate Global Director of Environmental, Health & Safety with Integra Life Sciences Corporation a world leader in medical technology where he delivered and executed strategic EH&S compliance solutions for Integra worldwide.  He has broad technical and management work experiences in a myriad of nonunion and union industries including medical devices/pharmaceutical biotechnology, consumer products, railroad, paper and pulp, academia, commercial laboratory, and government regulatory environments.

He has advanced knowledge and skills in safety engineering, industrial hygiene, and safety. In 2012, he was nominated, approved, and recognized by the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) Board of Directors as a Fellow of AIHA.  Furthermore, while employed with Johnson & Johnson Dr. Lucas was appointed Global Asbestos Technical Leader on their Corporate Asbestos Taskforce spearheading the development and implementation of a global comprehensive Asbestos Compliance Document and Asbestos Awareness Training Program.

Dr. Lucas has been a collaborating author on 3 peer-reviewed asbestos articles and American National Standard Institute’s (ANSI) Standard for Laboratory Decommissioning Z9.11 Subcommittee [ANSI Z9.11-2008]. He also has moderated AIHA roundtables, including roundtable speakers at AIHA’s national conference.
